Home is where the start is…
Tuffley Rovers will being their 2026/27 Uhlsport Hellenic League campaign with the challenge of a visit by Cirencester Town on the opening day of the season.
The Centurions will arrive at Glevum Park for the 3pm KO in the knowledge that they will be one of the favourites to win the Premier Division this season, having reached the play-offs in 2025/26 and added a number of quality players to their squad over the summer period.
Neil Mustoe has been working hard on improving his side and will be buoyed by the retention of players coveted by other clubs, retaining the majority of last season’s squad, alongside the acquisition of some excellent signings, including Raiyan Ahmed, Jacob Eakers, Leighton Blacker, Zak Ben Ali, Will Dijaha-Nsangou and the arrival yesterday of Theo Browne on a dual registration from Slimbridge.
Having finished 10th at the end of last season, Rovers will be hoping to build on the success of that campaign but will know that today’s visitors are amongst the toughest challenges they could have faced at the commencement of a fixture schedule that will feature 40 league games, given the expansion of the Premier Division to 21 teams this season.
