Rovers ready for Flackwell Heath visit

After recording two wins in the past seven days, Tuffley Rovers will host Flackwell Heath, who sit second in the Uhlsport Hellenic League, Premier Division, as they play a Saturday fixture at home in the league for the first time this season.

Last Saturday’s Buildbase FA Vase tie saw Rovers record an emphatic 4-1 over Ardley United and then followed that with an excellent performance in the 3-0 derby win against local rivals, Longlevens, on Tuesday.

Those games were a welcome return to the form that Rovers had produced earlier in the season and manager Mark Pritchett is hoping this will be the start of another good run of form.

“The boys backed up their performance in the Vase with a fantastic team effort on Tuesday and we got exactly what we deserved; a comprehensive win and three more points. We now need to try and find a level of consistency, especially as we’ve got some important games coming our way.”

Pritchett’s squad is slightly depleted ahead of the weekend, with Sam Drew and Sam Hill out injured, Ben Tunnifcliff on holiday and Assistant Manager, Shayne Anson, still recovering from surgery on his leg. Shayne Bradley is eligible again, after serving a one-match suspension.

Flackwell Heath arrive at Glevum Park unbeaten in the last six league games, with seven wins from their opening eleven games, which sees them three points ahead of The Rovers, who have played a game more.
